Building my battleground
This interactive station supports children’s tendency to role play and re-enact their learning. Children will be provided with materials to craft their own interpretation of their battleground. Each child will create their own piece of a battleground/landscape on a block, and they can choose a range of creative recycled materials Each child leaves their piece of work next to others, creating a giant community-collage of battlefields which can be exhibited within the gallery thereafter.
Spinning Columns – “Stories of Me and My world ” – The children will be reflecting on what peace means to them through recording their drawings on the columns. The innovative columns are able to spin in parts and therefore allow for various perfect images to superimpose on others – creating new images – spinning the imagination even further.
