Sonic PeaceGames
Children love playing with water and sounds.
Peace Games is the first in a series of works that put sound where it doesn’t belong.
Re-imagining the war strategy board as a platform for artistic expression, Peace Games uses porcelain bowls, metal orbs, speaker wire, water, and the conductive power of the human body to create water based musical controller.
The installation allows children to create their own composition and sequences of sounds and tones as they touch the water which makes different sounds. The beauty of this installation is that parent-child, child-grandparent, child-child can create their own compositions together.
